Hotel Bandolero is pleased to once again welcome Maggie Price back to the Genal Valley for another painting holiday|workshop. Dates for the workshops are as follows:

Maggie Price is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, Pastel Society of New Mexico, Plein Air New Mexico and APOW, and a member of the Salmagundi Art Club, New York City. She was a co-founder and the former editor of The Pastel Journal, an American national magazine for pastel artists, and has written over 100 articles about pastel art and artists. She is the author of Painting with Pastels (North Light Books, 2007), and is in the process of writing a second instructional book on working in pastel, to be released in 2011. Maggie is the president of the International Association of Pastel Societies and a member of its Board of Directors, and serves on the advisory boards of “The Pastel Journal” and “The Artist’s Magazine”.

Her workshops include demonstrations, personal assistance at artists’ easels and sharing information about the pastel medium. Maggie emphasizes personal instruction in a supportive and friendly atmosphere, and believes in sharing as much information as possible with her students. While demonstrations are in pastel, artists are welcome to work in any medium during this workshop.

All classes focus on painting the landscape; beginning to advanced students are welcome. Whether you’re a beginner and want to learn the basics of painting outdoors, or whether you’re an experienced pastelist and want the opportunity to paint with a group in this beautiful location, this is the workshop for you! The friendships formed in a small group traveling and painting together can last a lifetime.

Non-painting spouses or companions are welcome and there will be plenty for them to do & see in the Genal Valley and surrounding areas in the Serrnia de Ronda whilst the artists paint.
